Daylight saving & the abbreviation caveat
The zone goes by "CET" in winter and "CEST" (Central European Summer Time) in summer — one region, two labels. UTC never changes at all. So a result that reads one hour apart in January but two hours apart in August is not a mistake: Europe switched, UTC didn't.
